Thanks so much for all your lovely supportive comments about my recent job-quitting! Thanks to my Mother's hardcore scare-mongering, I have been very scared about beng jobless in the current economic climate, but I think sometimes its healthy to take a risk and have some motivation to do the things you really want to do...and I am glad you all agree :)

on a random october morning in 2006, i sat straight up in bed and decided to quit my job, just like that. spur of the moment decision. i went to work, quit, and was home by 10am. i put on a riduculous outfit and had a cocktail. i haven't had to seek employment since and it has been amAzing! i work for myself, i own 2 companies now and it is so freeing, and fun. but i had to take a big risk.
congrats on your risk, i'm sure it will turn out just fine if you felt it was the right decision! my parents freaked out too but it's ok, you can prove them wrong!

when you love the work you do, you work twice as hard and are twice as successful. i quit so many of my first jobs because i had no passion for them. i've been a freelance writer for the past year and a half and though this bad economy is draining on my wallet, i'd rather lack money than lack passion.
