From Russia With Love

This is without doubt my favourite Vogue cover of the year - Naomi (twice in one day, eek!) for Russian Vogue, December 2008. Its so fifties and festive! And althougn Naomi's skin seems a little paler than usual, I love the contrast between her coffee tones and burgundy lips and the bright white fur and diamonds. Perfection.

Beyonce

Ok so Beyonce isn't usually the kind of girl whose clothes I covet, but she wore two Gareth Pugh dresses to the MTV Europe Music awards and looked amazing! I am particularly enamoured by her metal Freddy Krueger style claw glove...its so weird and threatening, I love it!

Disney is after me

Ok this might sound quite conspiratorial but I have a feeling that Disney is out to get me! I'm not sure why, but whenever ive been scanning the web for cool inspiring editorials etc I seem to be finding more and more images featuring Minnie/Mickey Mouse, or images which bear reference to mouse characteristics. Also (perhaps because I am reaching my saturation point of black black black) I am finding editorials featuring tulle, feathers, diamonds and princessy styling more appealing than usual.
Looks like i'll be spending Christmas at Disneyland in a pretty dress trying to break into Sleeping Beauty's castle. Eek.

PEGLEG NYC

I discovered this Pegleg lookbook on Fashion Spot whilst browsing pics of Isabelle McNally. I'd never heard of Pegleg before but I checked out their site and it's got some excellent stuff: as I am a crusty slob at heart, I always enjoy observing new stylish excuses to wear loose shirts with leggings! And boy what a collection these guys have. Isabelle is looking amazing as always (as are the other models) and I like the photographer's grimy approach to these comfy, delicious clothes.

I am back at work now but still feel like death! I don't know if it is the tonsilitis or the fact that my office is probably the most depressing place in the country. Anyway, whilst I was ill I bought lots of trashy magazines, and I saw a picture of Jaime Winstone in one of them wearing a Guns n Roses t shirt and black lipstick. She looked amazing! She has been cropping up here and there recently looking pretty good, but aside from the pics of her wearing the big red bow in her hair (which were all over the tabloids) I haven't seen as much of her as I want. She has quite an eclectic style and doesn't always get it right but I love risk-takers...and she has the Emma Cook Topshop boots I am in love with!

I'm ill!

I have been struck down with tonsilitis and my mean doctor won't give me antibiotics...I need the drugs, damn it! Hope everyone had a cracking halloween, when I am better maybe I will post a pic of me dressed up as a sheep...! Be back soon I promise :)
