Thanks so much for your sweet comments about my loser life! Its made me feel a lot better :) When things are a bit rubbish I guess the only thing you can do is laugh, because if you aren't laughing then you will be probably be crying. Boo!
Anyway, its friday which is allllways good news. Whats everyone up to?
Oh and how cool are these shots? They are by Camilla Åkrans - I need to check out more of her work (I think the title of this ed perfectly reflects my current situation, ha ha).

Sorry I have been absent for a couple of days, my boyfriend and I have just broken up so I am feeling a little sad and scared about the next few months. NO job, no boyfriend and soon, no flat! Don't be surprised if you see me turning tricks under your local bridge soon! Ho ho ho. But there is nothing better to cheer me up than seeing a shot of Chloe Sevigny looking hot to trot in her new line for Opening Ceremony! I am obsessed with those brutal shoes. Stunning.

I am not sure why but I have been feeling very uninspired for the last few days. I suppose it is a combination of the fact that I am busy at work with tasks that are of a complete disinterest to me, and the typical, neverending grey UK weather. I want blue skies, cocktails and a sandy beach. I should probably ditch this country for somewhere more beautiful!
Anyway, this week I will be scouring Borders for a copy of Love magazine. It looks amazing, and features Courtney at her best again - I am very much liking the way she is being styled in recent features (like UK Elle a couple of months back) = lots of grungey, gothic lace, tulle and mesh.

I AM SO GLAD IT IS FRIDAY!
Has anyone got anything fun lined up for this weekend? I am still lying low with intentions of saving my sweet dollar for NYC, but I don't know whether I will manage. London Fashion Week starts today, wish I was going to some shows. Boo :(

I have this morning been trawling through nineties Vogue eds on tFS, and basking in the gaudiness of some of the things that used to be cool, along with many things which used to be cool and are now cool again. This really reminds me of an archaic version of Wang's A/W 09 collection, with a mix of vintage Madonna....and probably a little bit of prostitute too. Got to love that Gaultier!

I doubt there is a fashion blog in the world that won't feature Alexander Wang's F/W 2009 collection, and for good reason! Above are my favourites, in particular the cropped leggings/cycle shorts with the pointy witch/motorcycle boots. Its so sexy, the whole collection evokes an image of Helmut Newton's 70s and 80s portraits of powerful, dominatrix-leather clad women. And I am a fan o'black so any collection featuring it this heavily is going to win my never-ending love.
Taking a look at the other F/W collections it appears that we are in for a ladylike winter, with mature structured shapes, houndstooth, tweed and clean, modern suiting seen for Preen, DKNY and Karen Walker.

How hot does Taylor Warren look in a letteman college jacket?!
Thanks so much for all your lovely supportive comments about my recent job-quitting! Thanks to my Mother's hardcore scare-mongering, I have been very scared about beng jobless in the current economic climate, but I think sometimes its healthy to take a risk and have some motivation to do the things you really want to do...and I am glad you all agree :)

i-D's 'Best of British' edition is certainly a cracker...Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson, Lily Cole, Twiggy...the list goes on.
What have you all got planned for this weekend? I shall be laying low and trying to find ways to save/make money as a few days ago I quit my job. No more boring office work for me - I am going to find ways to have fun/adventures whilst I am still young! Although the other day I did accidentally apply for a job as a prostitute on gumtree...oops.

Numero's 'Miami Love' ed encapsulates how I wanted to look when I was about 7 and really into Kylie Minogue, Beach Barbie (complete with pink car), anything what was bright fuschia in colour, and the dreaded scrunchy/hair tie. Stam looks cute as a button as always though, especially in that Hussein Chalayan dress in the third pic.

Yesterday I booked my ticket to NYC for March...and I am so excited! I have never been there before but have always wanted to go. A couple of my best friends are living in Brooklyn right now so going to stay with them, which makes the trip even more bargainous than before (one positive by-product of a crumbling economy = cheaper flights).
AAAHHHH I CAN'T WAIT! A couple of great bands, Team Robespierre and Les Savy Fav, are also playing in Brooklyn whilst im there, which makes things even better :)
I know some of you guys are from NYC so let me know where I should be eating/shopping/dancing/drinking! I need your tips...

Yet another cracker of an ed from March's UK Vogue. Like many of you, I am a Vogue Nippon kind of girl, but I have to admit that UK Vogue has improved a lot in the past few months in terms of showing some edgier styling (next stop - better covers!).
Those stripey DMs are brilliant (they are just white ones that were customised by the stylist) and the Gareth Pugh outfit in the third pic is just insane. Its Beetle Juice but much less creepy!
This ed also features that Alexander McQueen all-in-one that I am massively coveting...I wasn't going to show it again because I posted it a while ago but what the hell, it is gorgeous and maybe if I big it up enough, someone might send it to me. Unlikely, but you can't blame a girl for trying! (The only thing I ever get sent is pizza leaflets. Oh and offers to take out credit cards with high interest rates. Ho hum).

My first blogger visit today was to Style Bubble, mainly because I saw Susie featured in the Observer Woman magazine yesterday and wanted to see what she had written about it. I immediately decided that this is going to be my favourite outfit of the day...even though it is only 10.30am. Its mental and I love it.
In other news, I finally got round to studding something this weekend. Woohoo! I bought a light blue denim jacket from ebay for 99p, cut the arms off and went stud-crazy. It looks pretty cool! I am proud of myself for not messing this up.

This shot from the new Vogue Nippon makes me think of paintings of Ophelia drowning in the river (take a look at the Paul Steck/John Everett Millais/Elizabeth Siddall Rossetti/Odilon Redon versions...I am quite obsessed with artistic interpretations of literature!).
Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I am staying in tonight to watch Quantum of Solace, and tomorrow I am going to London to see a french band called This is Pop at the Old Blue Last in Shoreditch. If any of you guys are in Londres tomorrow night too then you should come on down! Should be a right ol' laugh.

How SICK is this Daria ed...shot by Testino too! I love the beginning of the month when all the scanned international Vogue eds start to trickle onto Fashion Spot. Its like Christmas but much more stylish.
And I spy that stunning Topshop Unique studded leotard in the middle image...

Oh dear god today I am coveting so many things! These Topshop Unique items went online today and I am seriously trying to do some creative accounting to figue out a way I can buy that amazing studded blazer (£250, eek). I don't even have the £85 for that college cardi...
